Obituary: Dukich

James “Jim” Dukich, 75, of Arrowsmith, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

His funeral will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, LeRoy. Visitation will be 12 to 1:00 pm, Saturday, prior to the funeral also at the funeral home in Colfax.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Mr. Dukich was born June 4, 1950, in Morgantown, WV; the son of Thomas and Gloria (Anderson) Gorbey. He married Geraldine Kisner on August 7, 1969. His wife preceded him in death on March 3, 2023.  His parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, Jaynie (Robert) Compton of LeRoy; James D. (Heather) Dukich of South Dakota, and Janece Stefanov of Arrowsmith; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Jim served our country in the United States Marines and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
