Barn lost in fire this week

A barn north of Weston was a total loss after a fire late Monday night.

Chenoa firefighters were paged for the working structure fire at 11:04 p.m. on Livingston County Road 1000 North between 1500 East and 1600 East.

The official cause of the fire is undetermined but a lightning strike likely caused it, according to officials. Some farm equipment was lost in the fire and the barn was a total loss.
