The City of Chenoa has officially begun the process of developing a new Comprehensive Plan and is inviting residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to participate and share their ideas for the future of the community.

A Comprehensive Plan is a long-range policy document that will guide decisions related to land use, housing, transportation, economic development, public facilities, and overall community character over the next 5-10 years. The planning process will help ensure that future growth and development in Chenoa reflect community values and priorities.

“This planning effort is about listening to our residents and working together to create a shared vision for Chenoa’s future,” said David Shane, Mayor. “Community input is essential to making sure the plan truly represents the needs and goals of the people who live and work here.”

The City will be engaging the public through a variety of methods, including community surveys, public meetings, workshops, and other opportunities for feedback. Input gathered during this process will directly inform the goals, policies, and recommendations included in the Comprehensive Plan.

The Comprehensive Plan will address key topics such as:

 • Land use and future development

 • Housing needs and opportunities

 • Transportation and infrastructure

 • Economic development and business growth

 • Community facilities, parks, and services

 • Preservation of Chenoa’s small-town character

Once completed, the Comprehensive Plan will serve as a guiding framework for local decision-making, including zoning, development review, capital improvements, and the pursuit of grant funding.
