Details released on fatal motorcycle wreck in McLean Co.

The McLean County Coroner has released details surrounding a fatal motorcycle wreck on I-55 north at Normal which occurred last weekend.
Caden N. Lovins, 20, of Bloomington was pronounced dead on the scene.
Preliminary autopsy findings indicate his cause of death was multiple blunt injuries due to a motorcyclist pedestrian struck by a motorcycle, reportedly after he suffered mechanical issues and a crash from his motorcycle within a group of motorcyclists and was subsequently struck. Toxicology tests are pending.
Normal Fire Department, Normal Police and Illinois State Police responded to the scene initially. The incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and State Police.
