Fatal Woodford Co. motorcycle wreck

A motorcyclist is dead after being thrown from the motorcycle north of Goodfield on Woodford County Tuesday.

The Woodford County Sheriff’s Department reports the motorcycle was struck from behind by a black Chevrolet passenger vehicle on State Route 117 and Timberline Road as the motorcycle was slowing to turn onto Timberline.

The driver of the Chevrolet was not injured and issued a citation for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident. The motorcycle operator was pronounced dead at the scene.
