Firefighters responded to a single mobile home trailer fire Saturday in Fairbury.
The Fairbury Fire Department was dispatched around 12:47 for a reported structure fire at 30 Indian Grove Estates. The fire was quickly contained and under control at 1:03 p.m., according to Fairbury Fire Chief Josh Hoselton.
Mutual aide was called from Forrest-Strawn-Wing and Pontiac. There were no injuries, but the home’s occupants were displaced. The mobile home is estimated to be a total loss due to the age and condition of the trailer.
Pontiac’s Fire Investigation Unit is investigating the cause and no foul play is expected.
“We responded with 7 apparatus and 18 personnel,” noted Hoselton.
Brush fires were also reported in the area Saturday.
