Work continues on the roof of the historic Livingston County Courthouse in Pontiac.
A new flag pole has been placed atop the building and it is taller than the previous one. This has impacted how high the current flag can be flown, according to Livingston County Board Chairman Jim Carley. They expect to rectify the situation, raising the flag to the complete top.
"That is going to happen," said Carley on Friday's edition of the Route 24 Radio Forum heard on 93.7 FM.
Also, the clocks will be reinstalled over the next few weeks.
"This has been a huge project and actually became more extensive than we realized," added Carley.
Carley notes the county is going to ensure the viability of the courthouse building for years to come.
This September is the anticipated completion for the courthouse roof project in downtown Pontiac.
