Thanksgiving enforcement results

From Nov. 21 to Dec. 2, the Bloomington Police Department participated in the “Click it or Ticket” and “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” mobilization to reduce crashes and save lives.

Enforcement focused on seat-belt use, speeding, distracted driving, alcohol and drug-impaired driving, including cannabis.

During the campaign, police reported 24 speeding citations, 1 electronic device use citation, 29 other traffic citations and 1 traffic arrest.

The Thanksgiving Enforcement effort was supported by federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
