Chorus brings harmony to Dwight

Vermillion Valley Show Chorus will hold their annual show at Dwight High School this year.   

The chorus will present LET’S SING AGAIN featuring a variety of music genres in a cappella four part harmony, barbershop style on Nov. 7 at 2 p.m.   

Guest performers will also appear on the show.

The chorus has been in existence for over 40 years.   Based in Pontiac, with weekly rehearsals held every Thursday at Futures Unlimited, members attend from all over central Illinois and beyond.   Women attend from as far away as Sterling and Rock Falls and some from Pontiac, Dwight, Fairbury, Peoria, East Peoria,  Pekin, Dunlap,  Flanagan, Cornell, Colfax, Kankakee, Peru, Normal, Marseilles and Tremont.

Vermillion Valley has been honored with Regional Championships in the small chorus category many times, including the past two years.   And has appeared in International Competition in Hawaii and New Orleans.
