Man arrested on weapons charges

A shots fired arrest has been made in Bloomington.

Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of east Jefferson Street on Saturday as several people reported hearing gunshots in the area. Spent shell casings were located outside of a residence and there were no reported injuries or property damage.

Further investigation led to Lorenzo L. Aken, 45, being taken into custody. The Bloomington man was later transported to the McLean County Detention Facility and arrested for possession of a weapon/previously convicted of a forcible felony, aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon/vehicle/previous conviction and reckless discharge of a firearm/endangers.
