The Casson Media High School Sports Network’s own Mark Myre and Tim Scott are being inducted into the 2026 Pontiac Township High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

Both have been the longtime broadcast voices of Pontiac sports, such as football and basketball, for a number of years. They currently call games for Eye On Central Illinois and will be inducted during halftime of this Friday’s (Jan. 23) varsity boys basketball game.

Chairman of the PTHS Athletic Hall of Fame Buck Casson nominated Mark and Tim in the “contributor” award category.

“Their voting was unanimous,” he said.

There are different Hall of Fame categories, such as contributor, coach, athletic director, team, female student athlete and male student athlete. The top vote getters earn the honor of being inducted with the stipulation that no more than two can come from a category each year and a maximum of five total overall.

Others being inducted into the Pontiac Township High School Athletic Hall of Fame this year include: Griffin Brunner and Rocco Sartoris (team, tennis doubles), Regan Krause (female athlete, softball), Kevin Gschwendtner (male athlete, wrestling) and Brett Spires (male athlete, swimming).

Mark Myre and Tim Scott have called Pontiac football and basketball games online for Eye On Central Illinois since 2023 and prior to that, covered sports on WPOK-WJEZ-WLDC radio in Pontiac since the early 90s.
