Truman Dale Lorance, 85, of Chenoa, passed away on Wednesday, January 7th , 2026, at OSF St. James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded.


A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 17 th , 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church of Fairbury. Minister Marcia Buchs will be officiating.


Memorial donations can be made in Dale’s name to the Trinity Lutheran Church,Fairbury.

Dale was born on January 29 th , 1940 in Saybrook, the son of Dolpha and Gertrude(McIntyre) Lorance. He married Shirley Holland on July 2 nd , 1961 in Fairbury, IL. She survives in Pontiac.


Dale is survived by his wife Shirley and three sisters: Rose Geralds, of Pontiac; Karen(Jim) Rynning, of Rowe; and Marsha (Ray) Forbes, of Princeton. Dale was also loveddearly by his many nieces and nephews.


He is preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings: Brenda Lorance, Mary Page,George Lorance, Minnie Wonders, Frieda King, Dolpha Lorance, Catherine Johnson,Stanley Lorance, and Cheryl Smith.


Dale worked and owned his own business, Lorance Upholstery, and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury.
