Obituary: White

Gladys Justine White, 90, Chenoa, died at 3:11 am Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Carle-BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 am Monday, September 22, 2025 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with Pastor Deb Honegger officiating.  Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington.

Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 am Monday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa.  The family suggests memorials be given to the American Heart Association.

Mrs. White was born on June 9, 1935 in Chenoa, IL the daughter of Claude Lee and Pansy Perry Diffenderfer Rosenberger.  She married Loren Othnel White on March 8, 1952 in Chenoa, IL.  He preceded her in death on August 3, 2021.

Survivors include one son, Keith (Debbie) White, Washington, IL, one daughter, Kathy Diane Ray, Normal, IL, 4 grandchildren, Stephen Arthur White, Angie Jean White, Charles Hiram (Erin) Ray, Claudia Rose Ray (Aaron) Solis, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.

She is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Harry and Bud Rosenberger, 1 sister Nina Hart-McBroom, and 2 infant sisters.

Mrs. White was a homemaker, farmed with her husband, Loren for many years and worked as a cook at Meadows Mennonite Home.

She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.
