Over 1,000 tires collected in county

The annual fall tire collection from the Livingston County Health Department helped support a cleaner, healthier county through community participation and local partnership.

Tires collected reached 1,042 with 67 scheduled drop-off appointments. Officials say this helps reduce outdoor tire buildup and improper disposal.

Livingston County Health Department representatives thank the Environmental Health team, City of Pontiac and the Livingston County Highway Department for helping make the annual tire collection a success.
