Livingston County Sheriff Ryan Bohm intends to run for another term.

He made the announcement on Route 24 Radio last Tuesday morning.

“The last several years have been very fulfilling,” Bohm said. “We’ve done some good things.”

Sheriff Bohm hopes to continue what he is doing, noting the county board has been

“fantastic” to work with as they have given his department resources to help implement new things.

“All of the deputies out on the road have body cameras and we upgraded our in-car cameras.”

According to Bohm, they are keeping up with equipment needs. He said they are sitting well from a staffing standpoint on the patrol side but could use more staff at the jail with open positions available.

“We are always looking for good people that want that long-term career,” stated Bohm.
