Matilda Jr. to be presented

Take the kids to Matilda Jr. at the Chautauqua Park Pavilion in Pontiac this week from the Vermillion Players.

“Matilda Jr. The Musical!” is presented July 16 through 20 with shows starting at 7:30 p.m. and doors opening at 6:30. The show is directed by Abram Cutrell and Cortney Blair.

Rebellion is nigh in this gleefully witty ode to the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination. The story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the “revolting children” who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.
