Woodford Pro Active arrest made

An investigation from members of the “predator team” within the Woodford County Sheriff’s Office Pro Active Unit resulted in the arrest of a 32-year-old man from Lawrenceville, Illinois.

Matthew A. Cornes was charged with one count of indecent solicitation of a child Class 1, traveling to meet a minor Class 3 and grooming Class 4.

Cornes, as of Tuesday, was being held in jail awaiting his first court appearance before a judge to determine if he qualifies for detention while awaiting trial.

The Pro Active Unit “predator team” focuses on Internet crimes against children.
